After the recent global outbreak of the influenza A/H1N1 virus (formerly called swine influenza) ,  numerous new A/H1N1 flu cases have been detected and confirmed in Malaysia, and infected individuals are on the rise.

In addition, influenza A(H1N1) was declared a pandemic on June 12, 2009 by Dr. Margaret Chan, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) , which raised the influenza pandemic alert status to phase 6.

After meetings and much discussion by our World Yee Family Association 4th International Convention Committee, our committee have recommended to postpone the 4th World Yee Convention, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 6th to November 8th, until further notice, for health and safety reasons.

Our World Yee Family Association 4th International Convention Committee will determine and reschedule a new Convention date sometime later, and we will announce it here, by email and by mail.
